Iskärna IKEA lamp

A mood lamp in the shape of a head, designed to fade between colors or remain in a preferred hue. It also functions as a holder for headphones, VR headsets, or caps. Many gamers appreciate this, as they often need a good place for headphones and also have a love for colorful LEDs.

This project challenged my surface modeling skills in SolidWorks—an area I hadn’t explored much before. The design leans toward an organic form with subtle details. Achieving a gender-neutral appearance while ensuring the lamp didn’t feel too much like a head was a challenge.
